EYEMG collaborated with JCC executive staff to redesign the ShawJCC.org Web site to facilitate efficient delivery of events-based information to the Akron Jewish Community and Shaw JCC membership.
The Shaw JCC supports an impressive array of programming with a multifaceted facility that incorporates day care, early education, aquatics, sports and recreation, fitness and wellness, seasonal camps and special events.
The Web site must provide a delivery mechanism that segments this information by audience to ensure that awareness and ultimately utilization of facility features and programs is achieved.
As you can imagine, initial content creation is only a part of the challenge - constant maintenance and update of the content is crucial for this events-based organization.
EYEMG integrated our content management system, eyemg.Compose, into the foundation of the Shaw JCC Web site. Our CMS tool enables non-technical Shaw JCC staff to create, edit, moderate and publish content on the site. The entire process is supported by an electronic workflow that enables senior management to distribute the control and ownership of specific content to appropriate subject matter experts within the professional staff. This distributed authoring model creates a "pride of authoring" that drives continued development of quality content to drive program participation in every facet of this facility.

Akron is preparing for the 2008 Maccabi Games

From August 11-15, 2008, the Shaw JCC of Akron will host the JCC Maccabi Games, an annual international Olympic-style, athletic, cultural and social event that has united Jewish teens since 1982. The JCC Maccabi Games in Akron will include Jewish athletes ages 13-16 and draw more than 550 athletes, families and spectators to the city.
The Akron JCC Maccabi Games will include boys and girls basketball, boys and girls soccer, golf, tennis, bowling, track and field, and NFL flag football. Competition will be held at venues throughout the Akron area, with the hub of activity at the Shaw JCC, located at 750 White Pond Drive.
During the four days of competition, Maccabi teens will also have plenty of time to get to know one another, including athletes who may come from as far away as Israel, Canada and Mexico.
The Shaw JCC Web site will serve as communications hub for the families of International participants to track progress in these games.
Once again, the simple and efficient content creation, moderation and publishing workflow provided by the eyemg.Compose content management system will play a fundamental role in the delivery of this content on the Shaw JCC Web site.

With several hundred programming options supported by this facility . . . how is a member to become aware of and utilize programs and services of interest?
The Shaw JCC Web site was designed to allow a member to browse programs, events and facility features by age (early childhood, K-6, youth and teens, adults and senior citizens) and by area of interest (families, aquatics, sports and recreation, fitness and wellness, education, camps and special events & holidays).

EYEMG has integrated our eyemg.Compose content management system with CSI Software's Spectrum Online facility management system to provide online browsing and booking of programming / events.
